Coronavirus (COVID-19)

You are no longer required to do a Covid lateral flow test if you have symptoms.

However, if you or your child have tested positive for Covid, the following advice applies:

Children and young people aged 18 and under who test positive for COVID-19 should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for three days. This is because children and young people tend to be infectious to other people for less time than adults.

Adults with a positive COVID-19 test result are advised to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for five days, which is when they are most infectious.

You should avoid meeting people who are more likely to get seriously ill from viruses, such as people with a weakened immune system, for 10 days after the day you took your test.
