Admissions for Reception September 2023:  

Applications for places at CHI must be made to the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, via the eAdmissions website, from 1st September, the year before your child starts school. 

You can name up to six schools in your application including academy or free schools and schools in other council areas.

The admission closing date for your online applications - Sunday 15 January 2023. If you wish to apply after this date you must do so by contacting Kingston Council Admissions on 020 8547 4610 or kingston.admissions@achievingforchildren.org.uk.

Important Dates

2022

Thursday 1st September: Online applications open via: https://www.eadmissions.org.uk/

2023

Sunday 15 January: Closing date for receipt of online and paper applications, including supplementary forms.

Thursday 9 February: Final date for applications to be considered as on-time where due to exceptional circumstances they could not be made by 15 January 2023, and for people who moved after 15 January 2023 to evidence habitual residency in the borough.

Monday 17 April: Online applicants will be sent an email during the evening informing them of the result of their application. Letters are posted first class giving detailed results of applications.  (National Offer Day)

Tuesday 02 May: Date by which parents must accept or decline the offer.

Wednesday 17 May: Further offers will be made from the waiting lists from this date onwards, subject to places becoming available.

Friday 19 May: Closing date for receipt of appeals.​

July 2023: Admission appeals are heard.

 

Prospective Parents

The tours for prospective parents have now finished for this cycle. Tours will begin again in November, and dates will be advertised later in the year. We are unable to conduct ad hoc tours. Mid-Year Joiners

In the first instance you will need to apply to Kingston Council [Kingston Council website.​​] to be put on our waiting lists. When you are offered a place please contact us, and we will arrange a visit, give you our paperwork, and discuss your child's start date. We expect your child's paperwork to be completed and returned prior to your child starting with us.

Simply put, we take children in the September following their 4th birthday. We do not have a nursery.
