  • Meet the Committee

Marianne, Caroline and Jennifer - CHIPTA Chairs

At CHIPTA, we are proud to welcome and value every member of our school community. The role of the Committee is to coordinate and oversee all CHIPTA activities, meetings, and events, while working closely with our fantastic network of Class Representatives.

Throughout the year, we organise a wide range of events, including the sponsored run, fireworks display, Christmas and summer fairs, school discos, cake sales, and social events. Working alongside our dedicated teachers, parents/carers, and school staff is both rewarding and great fun, as together we raise vital funds to support the school.

Our aim is to create memorable, inclusive experiences for the families of Coombe Hill Infants’ School, while generating much-needed funds that directly benefit the children.

    Becky - CHIPTA Treasurer

As Treasurer, Becky is responsible for managing CHIPTA’s finances, including overseeing income and expenditure, banking funds raised at events, reporting on finances, and processing approved expenses.

While all Committee members share responsibility for the appropriate management of PTA funds, the Treasurer plays a key role in ensuring strong financial governance and supporting the Committee in fulfilling its responsibilities effectively and transparently.

    Ljlal - CHIPTA Secretary

As Secretary, Ijlal ensures that CHIPTA’s activities run smoothly by organising meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining accurate records of events and decisions. This role is essential in keeping the Committee organised, informed, and aligned.

Izzie - CHIPTA 'Celebrating Diversity' committee lead

Two years ago, Izzie, together with a group of parents, established the CHIPTA Celebrating Diversity Committee. The aim of this group is to ensure that all families across the school feel included, represented, and welcome in CHIPTA events and in the wider life of the school.

Regular Celebrating Diversity meetings are held to explore ways the school community can continue to be as inclusive as possible. In addition, informal group walks in Richmond Park are organised throughout the year, offering a relaxed opportunity to connect. Everyone is welcome (including dogs and younger children!).

Lamees - Cake Sale Committee Lead

Lamees coordinates the weekly cake sales, which raise much-needed funds for each class. She ensures everything runs smoothly by sending out reminders and liaising with the site team to arrange set-up. Funds raised from each cake sale go directly to the individual classes, allowing teachers to spend the money on resources and activities that best support their pupils. In addition, proceeds contribute towards pool maintenance, SEND provision, and OPAL.
