School tours for families with children due to start Reception in September 2026

We are pleased to offer school tours to parents and carers with children due to join Reception in September 2026 - booking is essential.  

The tours start at 9.15am and last for approximately one hour.  You will be shown around our school by Mrs Cook (our Headteacher) or by one of our Assistant Headteachers.

We are holding tours on the following dates:

• Wednesday 12th November - FULLY BOOKED
• Friday 14th November - FULLY BOOKED
• Wednesday 19th November - FULLY BOOKED
• Thursday 8th January - LAST FEW SPACES

Both parents/carers are welcome to join the tour, and you may bring babies and toddlers with you if you cannot find alternative childcare.

Please note there is no parking on site, please use the surrounding streets if you are driving to school.

How to apply for a Reception place at our school

Applications for places at Coombe Hill Infants school must be made to the Kingston Borough Admissions service, via the http://www.eadmissions.org.uk/, the year before your child starts school.   Applications for entry into Reception in September 2026 opened on 1 September 2025.  Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 are due to start Reception at primary school in September 2026.

We accept children into Reception in the September following their 4th birthday.  We do not have a nursery at Coombe Hill.

The national closing date for on-time applications to be considered in the first round of allocations for Reception 2026 entry is 15 January 2026.    National Offer day is 16 April 2026.   Information on the coordination of applications for the normal admissions round can be found on Kingston Council’s website https://www.kingston.gov.uk/schools-education/school-admissions-arrangements.

General school tour requests

We are unable to conduct any other tours of the school during the year unless your child receives an offer of a place with us and you have not had the opportunity to see the school previously.  If this is the case, please email contact our Admissions Officer, Alison Reid, at admin@chi.rbksch.org or call 020 8942 9481.  Please contact admin@chi.rbksch.org if you have any further questions.

Please note that there is usually a waitlist for all of our year groups.  When you have registered your child for a place at our school they will be added to our waitlist and you can then call us to see what position they hold.  Please call Alison Reid, our Admissions Officer, on 020 8942 9481 to check this.

 

We do not have a nursery or pre-school setting at Coombe Hill.
