Welcome from Claire Cook, Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Coombe Hill Infant School. It is a privilege to join such a vibrant and caring community, and I am very much looking forward to getting to know all our families, working together so that every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Learning together, growing together is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud of our thriving, multicultural school, where a love of learning is promoted within a safe and happy environment in which every person matters. Our ethos is built on respect, kindness, and high expectations for all.

We believe that working in partnership with parents, carers, governors, and our wider community is essential to our continued success. By fostering a family atmosphere, we ensure that children feel confident to express their individuality and talents, knowing that achievements in all areas of life are celebrated and valued.

We are fortunate to have a passionate and dedicated staff team, committed to creating a positive and stimulating learning environment where learning is personalised to each child, ensuring all our pupils find learning truly irresistible. 

We are fortunate to have wonderful school grounds that enhance the children’s learning experiences, providing opportunities to explore, discover, and grow. 

Your children are very precious, and their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of learning are our top priorities. We want every child to feel happy, confident, and secure – ready to take on new challenges and become lifelong learners.

Recently, we were made aware of a scam experienced by a few of our parents. We alerted you to this via email and asked that you be vigilant and let us know if you receive any unwanted calls using our school name as a means to access funds.

Like any organisation, our school has the potential to be at risk from scams.  We want you to know that we will never phone you to ask you for donations for fundraising or otherwise. We would ask you to be vigilant and contact the school if you have any concerns.

World Book Day 2025 

The children are having a brilliant day celebrating the fun of reading in their pyjamas!

A lovely Forest School session at After-school club where the children weaved Valentine's hearts made from Willow.

New Malden Fire Brigade Visit

Our Year 2 Children enjoyed a visit from the New Malden Fire Brigade. They were able to see the workings of a real fire engine and understand the role of firefighters. 

They learnt about some common fire hazards and how to keep homes safe from fire.

Bounce-a-thon 

 The children thoroughly enjoyed the sponsored bounce-a-thon. Thank you to all that sponsored the the children for this event.
