SCHOOL TOURS FOR RECEPTION 2027 APPLICANTS

We are pleased to offer school tours to parents and carers with a child due to join Reception in September 2027 - booking is essential.

If you would like to join a tour please email infantadmin@coombehill.org.uk or call us on 020 8942 9481 to book a slot.  All tours start at 9.15am and last for approximately one hour. 

We are holding tours on the following dates:

• Thursday 5th November 2026

• Tuesday 10th November 2026

• Wednesday 11th November 2026

• Friday 13th November 2026

• Thursday 19th November 2026

• Friday 20th November 2026

• Friday 27th November 2026

• Wednesday 6th January 2027

You will be shown around our school by our Headteacher Mrs Cook or by one of our Deputy Headteachers.  Please meet at our main school entrance just before 9.15am on the day of your tour.  

Both parents/carers are welcome to join the tour, and you may bring babies and toddlers with you if you cannot find alternative childcare.

Please note there is no parking for parents on site, please use the surrounding streets if you are driving to school.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS FOR OUR SCHOOL

If your child is due to start Reception in September 2027, applications via Kingston Borough Admissions service opened on 1 September 2026 for this cohort.   

Applications for places at Coombe Hill Infants school must be made to Kingston Borough Admissions service, via the http://www.eadmissions.org.uk/, the year before your child starts school.   Applications for entry into Reception in September 2027 opened on 1 September 2026.  Children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 are due to start Reception at primary school in September 2027.

We accept children into Reception in the September following their 4th birthday.  We do not have a nursery at Coombe Hill.

The national closing date for on-time applications to be considered in the first round of allocations for Reception 2027 entry will be in mid- January 2027.   National Offer day will be in mid- April 2027.   Information on the coordination of applications for the normal admissions round can be found on Kingston Council’s website https://kr.afcinfo.org.uk/pages/community-information/information-and-advice/school-admissions/school-admissions.

Please note that there is usually a waitlist for all of our year groups.  When you have registered your child for a place at our school they will be added to our waitlist and you can then call us to see what position they hold.  Please call Alison Reid, our Admissions Officer, on 020 8942 9481 to check this.

 We do not have a nursery or pre-school setting at Coombe Hill.
